About Me

My name is Nirupama ("Niru") Devanathan. As an aspiring physician, I am passionate about understanding the intersections between social determinants of health, culturally competent care, and evidenced based practice to optimize healthcare delivery. At IUPUI, I have been on the leadership teams of Medical Humanities Club and Active Minds, serving as the President and founder, to promote intersectionality in mental well-being. Additionally, I am involved with a number of ongoing  projects, with cancer research, a case study in clinical ethics, and medical linguistics. In my free time, I spend time with learning the intricacies of Hindustani music and experimenting with plant-based cooking.
